I then took us to an odd choice for some calm - the Cimetiere de Montmatre. I had read about it and thought it might be nice to see - especially the lack of crowds (living,  at least)

It proved to be true - a very beautiful place along with some history. Degas is buried there along with some incredible grave sites (took more pics with the good camera).  It was a nice break.
